What is CBD - Cannbidoil?

Cannabidiol or CBD is one of many promising phytocannabinoids found in industrial hemp. It has been recognized for its benefits on human and animal health and is capable of affecting nearly every biological process.

CBD is non-psychoactive, non-addictive, and non-toxic.

Are these products legal?

Yes! These products are produced under a federally approved program authorized under Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture has established this program, which allows for the production, manufacturing, and shipping of hemp products across state lines. Kentucky is one of only a few states operating in compliance with the federal guidelines, which allows sales as part of market research.

Where are these products produced?

All of our hemp is grown in Kentucky. We have growers in 23 counties throughout the commonwealth. All of our extracts are made in our manufacturing facility located in Louisville, KY. We formulate and package all of our products in house.

Can it be shipped out of Kentucky?

Yes! Kentucky has developed a pilot program designed to test the viability of hemp as a cash crop. This includes the growing, processing, and marketing of hemp products; specifically including the export of Kentucky produced hemp products across state lines. This was reiterated with the addition of language to the 2016 Omnibus-spending bill by Leader Mitch McConnell, which states (in)

“SEC. 763. None of the funds made available by this Act or any other Act may be used- (1) in contravention of section 7606 of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (7 U.S.C. 5940); or (2) to prohibit the transportation, processing, sale, or use of industrial hemp that is grown or cultivated in accordance with subsection section 7606 of the Agricultural Act of 2014, within or outside the State in which the industrial hemp is grown or cultivated.”

We have been in the hemp program in Kentucky since 2014.

Can this be given to children?

Yes! These products are non-toxic and non-psychoactive. However, we recommend VAPE products be for the use of adults 18 years of age or older.

Will this interact with any medications?

If someone is using medication, we recommend discussing these products with your doctor and/or pharmacist BEFORE consuming

What are these products used for?

We are required to say, “The FDA has not evaluated any of these products. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease.”

Read US Patent # 6,603,507. This is the patent owned by The United States Department of Health and Human Services. It lists the value as an anti-oxidant and a neuroprotectant. This information is available through the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Can it “Get you High”?

No! The products we make are derived from Industrial Hemp. Cannabidiol is non-psychoactive. There is not enough THC in our products to induce a high, also all retail products must be below the federal guidelines for THC (which is less than 0.3%).

Is it safe?

YES! We control all aspects of production, from the farms to our finished goods. We place great emphasis on Quality Control; paying particular attention to ensuring that all of our products are free of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, heave metals, or any other contaminates. All products are manufactured in a FDA registered food safety certified facility, operating under cGMP (current good manufacturing practices).

Is it “Addictive”?

NO! These products are considered a food-grade substance or supplement. These products are made from Industrial Hemp not marijuana. They are non- toxic, non-psychoactive, and non addictive.

Can someone using these products fail a drug test?

It is possible. We cannot say yes or no. While the products are below the federal guidelines for THC, the THC compound can build up in your body and possibly cause someone to fail a drug test. If someone has an employment obligation or other reasons that THC might cause an issue, we HIGHLY recommend that they ask their employer or human resource manager BEFORE consumption. We also have a THC free version for those that cannot risk consumption of THC.

What makes Frocken Hemp CBD products better?

We only use Kentucky grown Industrial Hemp. We do not use any hemp from Europe, China, and/or Canada.
We use the supercritical CO2 extraction method. This process is FDA approved and is cleaner as well as safer for human and animal consumption.
We do third party testing on every product to make sure there are not any contaminants. All formulated products have been tested and verified to contain labeled ingredients.
We control every aspect of the production process, from farm to shelf.
